Exciting Changes to Our Exam Delivery Process Starting October!

We're excited to announce an upcoming improvement to our certification program! Effective 14 October 2024, we'll be transitioning to Certiverse for exam delivery. This brings a shift to a fully online proctored exam format, which is part of our ongoing efforts to improve your testing experience and streamline our certification process.

Here's why you'll love taking your exam online:
  • Convenience: Take your exam, including translated exam, from the comfort and familiarity of your own space. No need to travel to a testing center, saving you valuable time and reducing pre-exam stress.
  • Flexibility: Schedule your exam at a time that works best for you within the designated testing window.
  • Security: Online proctoring ensures the integrity of the exam, providing peace of mind for both you and the program.
  • Multilingual support: The chat support will be available in English, Spanish, Japanese and Simplified Chinese during your online exam.

We understand that some of you may be accustomed to taking exams at a testing center. However, we believe the online format offers a more convenient and efficient testing experience.

Starting from 14 October, you will be able to schedule your exams through Certiverse online platform. Detailed instructions on how to register and prepare for your online proctored exam will be provided on our certification website closer to October. Please note: You will not be able to access the Certivese platform between 1 October and 13 October.

General

Q. Why is the exam delivery vendor changing from Pearson VUE to Certiverse?

A. We are transitioning to Certiverse to improve the testing experience for our candidates by offering more flexible scheduling options and ensuring higher security standards through advanced online proctoring technology. It offers flexibility, faster results, and can be taken from the comfort of your own space.

Q. When will the transition take place?

A. The transition will occur in October, with the last day to take exams through Pearson VUE being 30 September 2024, and the first day to schedule exams through Certiverse being 14 October 2024. Please note: You will not be able to access the Certivese platform 1 October and 13 October.

Q. If I took Blue Prism exams with Person VUE in the past, how do I access my account and exam history with Certiverse?

A. You need to create a new account with Certiverse by using the same email address you registered with at Person VUE and create a new password. Once logged in, you will be able to see your prior exam history on Certiverse’s dashboard. If your email address is likely to change, please ensure you update your details on Pearson VUE dashboard by the end of July.


Exams

Q. Will my exam content or format change with the new vendor?

A. No, the content and format of the exams will remain the same. Only the delivery method is changing.

Q. Will the exam name and exam code be changed after we transition to Certiverse?

A. Yes, you may notice that the exam name and exam code are changed to better match the name of the certification.

Q. Will there be any additional costs associated with the change in exam delivery vendor?

A. No, there will be no additional costs to you as a result of this transition. Exam fees will remain the same.


Scheduling/Taking Exams

Q. How do I schedule my exam with Certiverse?

A. Starting from 14 October 2024, you can schedule your exams through Certiverse online platform. Appointments may be made up to one business day in advance. You can schedule an exam up to 30 days in advance. Specific information on scheduling will be provided closer to October.

Q. Can I still take my exam at a test center with Certiverse?

A. No, Certiverse only offers online proctored exams. This means you can take your exam from any location with a stable internet connection.

Q. What are the technical requirements for taking an online proctored exam with Certiverse?

A: You will need a computer with a webcam, a reliable internet connection, and a quiet space to take the exam. Specific technical requirements and a system check tool will be provided when you schedule your exam on Certiverse platform. More information on the online proctoring process will be provided closer to October.

Q. How do I prepare for an online proctored exam?

A: Certiverse will provide detailed instructions and resources to help you prepare for the online proctored exam, including a system check tool to ensure your setup meets all technical requirements. You will find the information during the scheduling process with Certiverse.

Q. What measures are in place to ensure the security and integrity of the online proctored exams?

A. Certiverse uses advanced proctoring technology, including AI monitoring and human proctors, to maintain the highest standards of exam security and integrity.

Q. What if I encounter technical issues BEFORE my online proctored exam?

A. Certiverse has a dedicated support team available to assist you with any technical issues that may arise before your exam. Contact information for technical support will be provided in your exam confirmation email.

Q. What if I encounter technical issues DURING my online proctored exam?

A. During an online proctored exam, you will have access to the proctor via chat. The technician can help you if you run into any issue. The chat support will be available in English, Spanish, Japanese and Simplified Chinese.

Q. Will the exam be terminated if my family member walks into my room accidently during the exam?

A. The proctor will pause the exam first before making any termination decisions. You will be asked to remain focused on the screen and tell your family member to leave your testing area. The proctor will resume the exam after your family member leaves the room. Please note that the pausing only keeps you from working on the exam but does not pause the timer.

Q. Do I still receive the additional time for my exam if the exam is not available in my native language?

A. Yes, Certiverse offers automatic language accommodation to those who are eligible. Please note that language accommodations will be granted only if the exam is not available in your native language in your country of residence.

For example, if you live in Spain and you want to

  • Take the Developer exam in English, the extra 30 mins will NOT be granted because the Developer exam is available in Spanish.
  • Take the Professional Developer exam, the extra 30 mins will be granted because the Professional Developer is not available in Spanish.

For Spanish this applies if you live in one of the following countries:

ARG, BOL, CHI, COL, CRI, CUB, DOM, ECU, SLV, GNQ, GTM, HND, MEX, NIC, PAN, PAR, PER, ESP, URU, VEN

The same rule applies if you live in Japan (for exams in Japanese) and China (for exams in Simplified Chinese).

Any candidate found to be deliberately abusing automatic accommodations will have their certification revoked without refund and will not be permitted to sit further exams.


Vouchers

Q. What should I do if I have a voucher issued by Pearson VUE?

A. We encourage you to use any vouchers issued by Person VUE before 30 September. If the voucher is not used by 30 September and it is still valid, we will contact you with a new voucher that can be used to schedule your exam with Certiverse in October.


Badging

Q. Will the change in the exam delivery vendor affect my digital badge?

A. No, the change in the exam delivery vendor will not affect your digital badge. Our badging vendor remains the same, and you will still receive your digital badge through the same process once you pass your exam.

Q. How do I claim my digital badge after passing the exam with Certiverse?

A. After passing your exam with Certiverse, you will receive an email from Credly with instructions on how to claim your digital badge. The process for claiming and displaying your badge remains unchanged.
