SS&C Blue Prism® Developer Certification Exam is Changing in December!

We work hard to ensure that our certification remains relevant, credible, and valuable. To achieve this, it is imperative to regularly update the examination content. Here are the key updates and changes you need to know about the New Developer certification exam:

  • The upcoming exam will consist of a total of 60 questions, and candidates will be allocated a time limit of 75 minutes to answer them.
  • Blue Prism® Developer Certification Learning Plan is also updated to help you better prepare for the new Developer exam.
  • The new exam will be accessible in multiple languages, including English and Japanese. Simplified Chinese and Spanish exam will be released in 2024. All language options will be available both through test centers and online proctoring.

If you wish to take the existing exam, the last available date is November 30th, 2023, until midnight, subject to seat availability. Please note that for online proctoring, the exam update schedule will be based on the UTC time zone.

A: We added one new course Blue Prism®: Using the Scheduler to the Updated Developer Certification Learning Plan to better help you prepare for the new exam. The practice questions in the Exam Preparation module is also updated to align with the new exam content outline.


Q: To which version of Blue Prism Enterprise (BPE) will the new Developer exam be aligned?

A: The new Developer exam content will concentrate on best practices, principles, and fundamental features within the Blue Prism Enterprise environment. It is important to note that the exam will not be tied to any specific version.


Q: Are there any prerequisites to complete before taking the new Developer exam?

A: No. There are no prerequisites to complete before taking the Developer exam. However, we do recommend that you have at least three months hands-on automation development experience and complete the updated Developer Certification Learning Plan.


Q: Can I use the voucher for the new Developer exam?

A: Yes, you can use the voucher for the new exam as long as the voucher is not expired.


Q: If I don't pass the current Developer exam and cannot retake the exam before November 30th, will I have the option to take the same exam after December 1st?

A: No. The current exam will be retired on November 30th, 2023. The new version of exam will be available starting from December 1st, 2023,
